Update

Olivia and Mitchell hanging out on Sanibel Island

Olivia has been doing great and rules the house. Her cousin Mitchell came down from Ohio for a visit. They both played at the beach and pool together. Also, we had some very good friends, Jen and Rusty Devore, come down from Ohio who stopped by to catch up and finally meet Olivia. She was also selected to be in a swim competition where she was able to show off her skills in front of an audience. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

A Visit To Sesame Street (aka Busch Gardens)

Elmo is held in very high regard here at home and I believe would get a place at the dinner table before daddy. Mom and I decided to visit Busch Gardens for the day to enjoy the festivities with the Sesame Street Gang, go on some rides and see the animals. All of us had a great time and hope all of you enjoy the pictures.

Catching Up

Olivia has been doing great and growing like a weed. She turned two on January 8th and we had a Sponge Bob party and cake for her. She is back in swim class and learning how to scoop in the water (like the turtles do) and she is just enjoying life.

The Golden Ticket

Olivia won a Golden Ticket to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory and was given approval by Mr. Wonka himself to bring Mommy and Daddy. This is a once a year event that the 'Ritz Carlton in Naples, Fl puts on in December for only three days. We were able to get tickets for the premiere opening of the Chocolate Factory which came with a buffet and followed by going into the room that had all of the candy you could ever want to eat and take home with you. The hotel went all out on this and you could see the parents losing their minds just like the kids with all of the candy and chocolate. Olivia loved it all except for the Oompa Loompas....our daughter has a fear of "little people".

Santa and the Time Out Chair

We were not sure if she was going to take to Santa again this year. However, she sprinted up to him and sprinted on his lap.....not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing :). We have also had to start disciplining Olivia. When she does wrong she has to sit on the "Time Out" chair for a couple of minutes. Olivia is currently going to the chair without argument (I am sure this might change soon) and will sit there until we come get her. We remind her why she had to sit on the chair and she will say "sorry" and give us a hug and a kiss. We will enjoy it while this lasts.....

Looking more happy than she should on the "Time Out Chair"

A Visit to the Hospital

Olivia had a minor outpatient surgical procedure done to her in November. She did not have a tear duct in her left eye which caused it to tear all of the time. They inserted a very small tub from her eye to her nose to form the tear duct. Olivia was a trooper the entire time and the surgery was a success.

Getting familiar with her new surroundings.
