Most importantly Olivia got to meet her Godfather Dwayne Kouf, his wife Tracy, and their three kids, Kyle, Zack and Grace. This is the family that would raise our daughter if something unfortunate were to happen to Mom and Dad. Dwayne and I have been friends for over 11 years and have competed and trained together in the sport of powerlifting for what seems like forever. He is my BFF haha! Dwayne and Tracy are very good people and have great parenting skills in our eyes. We could not imaging Olivia with anybody else.

The Ya Ya's

Here are some pictures of Olivia's 1st B-day. Laura's mom and dad came down for a visit but had to leave before January 8th so we ended up celebrating it on two different days. We took her to Chuck E Cheese's with Nonna and Poppie and then celebrated it on the 8th at Red Robin (currently her favorite place to eat).

We expect her to start walking real soon. She gets herself up on her feet all of the time and has been trying to take steps but has not got down the balance thing quite yet. Olivia also has been saying a few words and has started asking for her favorite cartoon called the Pleasent Goat and Big Bad Wolf(http://www.22dm.com/). She asks for it but saying "yaya" which are some of the words in the song......very cute. However, we are getting very tired of hearing the song over and over and over haha!

Charity Bench Press Competition

Olivia went to one of Dad's powerlifting competition a week ago. It was a charity bench press meet where the money made went for toys. As expected she showed very little interest but came anyway for support. Hope all of you enjoy some of the pictures.

MWH Christmas Party

My company had a Christmas party over the weekend where we brought Olivia with us so that everyone could meet her. All three of us had a blast and Olivia definitely loved the attention. She got to tear up the rug with Anna on the dance floor and eat plenty of good food.

The couple of marks you see on Olivia’s left cheek is laser treatment we had done to remove the birth mark.

It was a busy weekend with Olivia and Mom decorating the Christmas tree and preparing for the arrival of Santa. We did make time to see Santa who made a brief visit to Bass Pro Shop. We were around a bunch of people wearing camouflage - Laura loved it!!! Olivia was able to meet Santa for the first time and sit on his lap for some pictures.

Thanksgiving and Update

Some serious "bed head"!

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that all of Olivia’s blood-work and testing came back, she was diagnosed as being disease free and healthy as a horse. We were thinking if she was going to be diagnosed with anything it would have been a tape worm because the girl can eat…haha!

Thanksgiving was lots of fun and we all ate more than we should have. Olivia got to meet her godmother, LaJan, and the Bennett family (Mike, Debbie, and Sierra) who we have known and I have worked with for many years. Unfortunately, her godfather, Dwayne Kouf, had one of his sons diagnosed with the swine flu and we were not able to visit them. But we hope to introduce Olivia to her godfather soon.
